Was just thinking.. since there seems to be an outburst of new CNet
BBS's going up, it might be good to have a support echo.. For
questions like.. what is everyone using for TIC file processing with
Cnet? I can't remember what I used back in the day lol

I know, there are popping up out of the woodwork. I requested
this a month back and got shot down, but the CNet boards have doubled
since then.
I am really thinking AmigaNet should add a C-Net or CNet Echo. Now
that both CNet Amiga and C-Net 64 are both back in development.

I myself will be setting up a dedicated computer to run Vise
and will be very interested in putting up a C-Net64 BBS on it.

We don't need more areas in AmigaNet. We need less (empty) ones.
lets join AMIGA echomail on fidonet, and close Amiganet aka, much more simple, and still could echange files and echomail there :)

Piss off benny.
Do you even have or run a *REAL* amiga?
My A4000 is right next to me
and is in a working state
as I've been helping a Zeus BBS
sysop get things working.
We don't need another empty echo. What is wrong with the BBSSOFT_AMY echo?
All you have done is bitch and moan about not having
a cnet area.
*USE* what we have now.

In 2010 we (re)created the ZEUS_AMY bbs area, because proponents couldn't live ithout it, and it simply had to be created to get interested people to join the discusssions... Well since it's creation we had an overwhelming 31 posts in the area, of which half of them were test messages, not about Zeus. And Neil the au hor of Zeus, who is still a
node in AmigaNet, didn't write a single message in he area.

There was a resurgance of sysop's starting to run Zeus. That died along with some of the sysop's disapearing. It also didn't help that Neil
hasn't fixed any of the bugs in ZMP the mail processor. I had to go through a huge workaround and use crashmail due to the many bugs in zmp.
I do, but you saying to close Amiganet every x months is beyond a
joke.
It was just an example of what I expect would happen to a newly
created CNET_AMY area, don't take it personal!... ;)

I'm thinking of starting up a new network dedicated to strictly C-Net
BBS from all platforms. I have a machine running MBSE that I am going
to use as the main hub so there will be no conflicts with anyone
trying to poll for mail, it runs unattended. That way we can leave Amiganet the way it is and have more control over the network content

I'm not. I was just a bit pissed of at Benny for his "shut amiganet down" crap every x months. Plus the cnet guys saying to start another area/network, when the bbs software area on this network isn't even getting much use.

My idea...
cnet users does not use fidonet no matter that there is already amiga echomail there, idiots
