    You are not safer with him in CECOT. He was allegedly not even a gang member and was here *legally*.

    That's the first I've heard about that. But even if he was here legally, he wasn't born here, he's not a citizen, and therefore he can be deported for failing to pay a parking ticket, for applying for food stamps, or for many other minor crimes. None of us have any solid facts on him, so it's just as ridiculous to defend him as it is to condemn him.

    Which would be true if he hadn't already been sent to prison, in a foreign country that isn't his own.

    You may want to read up on the grievances listed in the Declaration of Independence while bearing in mind that there was no such thing as a "US citizen" when it was written... everyone here that wasn't a Native American
    was an immigrant.

    You are actually less safe because it means they can screw up and send anyone down there, and they not be able to get them back.

    What's even more unsafe is feeling victimized by something you saw on TV.

    Like Trump telling the President of El Salvador that he'd like to be able
    to send down "home grown" people, too? You do realize that means "born
    here" and therefore a citizen?

    Are you sure about that? Everything I've read about this indicates that he's a Salvadoran national.

    The constitution didn't exist when the Declaration of Independence was written, so IMO it overrides the Declaration of Independence.
