    I bought a couple of USB sticks which contain a folder labeled
    System Volume Information Information > IndexerVolumeGuid > WPSettings.dat

    Is this necessary what happens if I delete it?

    apparently not necessary. Some not very extensive Google searching
    suggests that it's windows centric.
