• What's it mean??

I just went into my Message Filters screen (Tools -> Message Filters) to
turn off/disable a filter I had put in place Server-wide.

When I selected the Server, the screen showed that I had about a dozen
filters applied Server-wide ....... and then there were another dozen or
so entries which weren't 'enabled' ..... but they all had TICKs in an imaginary column right next to the 'Enabled' column.

What are these 'Non-Enabled' entries?? Some of them seem familiar (but
some don't) .... so could they be filters that apply to one or more
newsgroups but not the entire Account??

You do know that it would help if you told people what you are talking
about-- eg what software. from the last sentence I assume this is some
sort of news reading software, but without the least hint of which. I
use slrn and there is nothing like what you describe. Thee are at least
    10 different newsreaders

Yes, sorry, William, it would seem I might have meant to send the OP to
my SeaMonkey Internet Suite group, alt.comp.software.seamonkey, which
seemed to have disappeared from my UseNet account. Back now.

    Sorry for the noise. ;-)
