• Chrome installation says signature wrong if using urpmi.

From William Unruh@2:250/1 to All on Thu Jul 31 21:13:32 2025
When I try to install google chrome I get an error saying that the
    signature is wrong

    sudo urpmi google-chrome --replacepkgs

    http://dl.google.com/linux/chrome/rpm/stable/x86_64/google-chrome-beta-139.0.7258.66-1.x86_64.rpm
The following package has bad signature:
/var/cache/urpmi/rpms/google-chrome-beta-139.0.7258.66-1.x86_64.rpm: Medium without key (OK (RSA/SHA512, Tue 29 Jul 2025 10:05:31 PM, Key ID 32ee5355a6bc6e42))
Do you want to continue installation ? (y/N) n

However if I download the package, and then do
sudo urpmi /var/cache/urpmi/rpms/google-chrome-beta-139.0.7258.66-1.x86_64.rpm it installs without problem. This has been going on for years by now. I
have just gotten tired of ignoring the warning and saying y when it asks
    if I want to contiue.

Of course the http link doesn't have a cert.

Google's page and key for this biz is old:

    https://www.google.com/linuxrepositories/

    Linux Package Signing Keys
    Public Key: https://dl.google.com/linux/linux_signing_key.pub

If I use pgpdump on that .pub, it says it is old. There is all kinds of 'stuff' on the above page that says Active that is obsolete.

Also, everywhere I find that same-named .pub, such as: https://dl-ssl.google.com/linux/linux_signing_key.pub

....it is the same kind of old.

I'm still digging to see if I can find anything current.

The mageia wiki is more up-to-date than the google page; '23 Jul

    https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Installing_Google_Chrome_in_Mageia

Also on one google page I see that there is a 140.0 beta, but the .deb
and .rpm that I found so far are 139.7

The Dev channel has been updated to 140.0.7327.6 for Windows, Mac and Linux.

    https://chromereleases.googleblog.com/2025/

.... but other pages look like 140 dev is for android so far.
