The Delta Air Lines Airbus A330-300, which grounded its wheels too early on Thursday morning at the Oostbaan, is still at Schiphol. The Dutch Safety Board is still investigating the cause of the incident.
A spokesman for the Dutch Safety Board (OVV) has not yet completed the investigation into the landing of flight DL134. She cannot say whether the aircraft has been released or whether the pilots are allowed to return to the United States and refers to Delta for this. A Delta spokesperson in the Netherlands refers to the head office for questions.
The almost twenty-year-old A330 arrived from Detroit on Thursday morning. Due to the southwest wind, the Oostbaan was open for incoming traffic. The crew put the Airbus on the ground a few meters before the runway and hit several runway lighting lamps.
The aircraft, registration N802NW, should depart Friday afternoon as special flight DL9936 to Minneapolis.
