Hi Everyone
Last week we experienced 2 separate crashes on two separate days where
the Wildcat online controller froze or crashed.
I am not sure why it crashed and was hoping that by posting the log here maybe someone might be able to give me some indication of what the issue
may be
So here is the event from the WCFTP.log file
20130706 22:04:11 (00038812) * Node: 13 IP: static-74-40-199- 226.br1.mrtn.wv.frontiernet.net [74.40.199.226]
20130706 22:04:12 (00038812) exception code: C0000005
20130706 22:04:12 (00038812) exception addr: FFFFFFFF
20130706 22:04:12 (00038812) {caught exception}
And at this time the system froze.
I looked in the server logs for the server and found this for the same
time
Faulting application wconline.exe, version 6.2.452.1, faulting module ntdll.dll, version 5.2.3790.4937, fault address 0x0002a5c4.
This exact same thing happend before back in december, same exception
addr and code. I dont see anything in the actual server logs it just
seems to have something to do with the Wildcat Software.
Hector / Anybody have any idea what the issue might be?
Thank You
Larry
Its hard to tell from this report, but have you do any maintenance?Like
run WCREPAIR and reindex the Files Library database? Are you doingany
WCX application via FTP with an optional custom FTPSCANFILE.WCX app?If
so, check to see if you also have any WCHOSTFAULT.LOG recordings ofthe
event.file
If you have not done any WCREPAIR, and you are using Wildcat! for many
transfers with your users where files are constantly uploaded, downloaded
and also deleted, you should have a regular scheduled event toshutdown
wildcat and do a WCREPAIR /AUTO to clear and purge the deleted record entries.
Hope this info helps

Thank You for your response.
Nothing in the WCHostfault.log file about this event.
Is there a document on the site anywhere that would tell me how to
schedule wcrepair?
Also is there a doc that would tell me how to reindex the file library database?
Thank you
Larry
