I think I have everything set up in the config file correctly. I have

It should be 2.1.10, not 1.1.10. Look here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/ftrack-as/files/RNtrack/2.1.10/
BTW, there is also a Linux binary rntrack-2_1_10-lnx-x86_64.tar.bz2
there.
-j, --bzip2
filter the archive through bzip2
So use 'y' instead of 'z'...
the -z parameter is for gzip files, but this is a bzip2 file. Use the -j parameter for bzip2 files:
tar -xvjf
tar -xvzf rntrack-1_1_10-src.tar.bz2
gzip: stdin: not in gzip format
