I sometimes worry that I could reconstitute a muffin out of the crumbs that
come out.
Other suggestions?
1. Run the sticky side of a post-it note between the keys.
2. A paintbrush with soft bristles does wonders.
3. Canned air.
Most of what falls out of my keyboard is dust and ashes.
I live downtown (or what used to be a "downtown") and I can dust one day
and everything is clean and shiny, then a couple of days later is covered in dust again.
Reminds me of the joke of the little girl who was taught in Sunday School that we come from dust and return to dust. Helping her mother clean one day she sees dust under the bed and wonders if someone is coming or going.
