I concur. It was like any other sitcom: I Love Lucy, Jackie
Gleason, etc.. about friends and their relationships.

It was successful because they offered some fresh jokes and
characters with new quirks and -isms.

Now.. Waiting for Godot would be more about nothing, and
terribly boring.

I watched a film adaptation of Waiting for Godot, and it was boring. Two people on the side of a road talking. Yet for some reason, I watched to the end. I think I too was waiting for Godot. Maybe that is the joke, that it is not only the two that you are watching who are waiting, YOU are waiting too.

Who is waiting for Godot? The audience!

Seinfeld still had jokes, and didn't rely too heavily on character quirks, which more contemporary comedies such as Modern Family tend to do.

I never watched Seinfeld on a regular basis, but I think the success was
due to be being about nothing. Other shows had superheroes, exciting
stories, wild/wacky adventures, etc. Seinfeld was _just_ about the relationship

Yeah.. I vaguely remember hearing about that one. The book was
an assignment in English class. The teacher had a few students
act it out in front of class - I was the donkey. I refused to

everyone would acknowledge him by saying his name slowy when
he showed up. Well, you get the idea.

but I just do it for the enjoyment and thrill I get. Like peeking in

I'm not a steak eater, but I'll take fried beef liver and sauteed
onions. However, not much of a place to get that around here anymore.
Both Furrs Cafeteria and Luby's Cafeteria, have gone out of business;
and Golden Corral doesn't serve it.

Nothing in life is more important then BBS'. Not family, friends,
job, etc.

Well, in Arkansas, a tornado and a divorce have the same thing in
common. Either way, you're going to lose the trailer. :P

The only reason I'm up this late is I had to get a square dance
publication issued...an e-Edition and a print edition. Now, I get 10
days off before I start work on next months issue.
