    I feel it is worth it and I re-up my maintenance subscription every
    once in awhile so I can grab the latest version of Arca.

    I do love playing with it, playing old DOS games, messing around with
    the BBS, etc. I spent a lot of time in OS/2 back in the day, so
    enjoying now as well.

    That is true! OS/2 wasn't cheap back in the day.

    i ordered mine when i went to COMDEX in Atlanta... it was a month or two before it arrived... then i had a battle with the mouse i was using... took IBM about a week to figure out it was because i was using a buss mouse... i had to get a serial mouse and figure out how to get it installed along with the several modems i had at the time... in the end, it all worked very well and was my main frontline system for many years...

    I knew basically what OS/2 was from advertisements on TV back in the day. A friend was looking for somethingorother so I took her out to a few second hand shops to find what she wanted. I saw a big box (OS/2 Warp red box, in shrink wrap) on the shelf and asked the fellow there, what is that? He grabbed the box and said that's what it is so I asked him, how much? He said $20 so I gave him $20 and that was the OS/2 I used back in the day. :)

    Renewed my maintenance subscription for the year when I bought my copy. Do you get a copy of the newest version or do you need to purchase another license?
    If you need to purchase another license...do they give you a discount?

    Ended up with a shrink wrapped Warp 4 with the blue spine for free from an elementary school I was working at. They were going to throw a bunch of stuff away & asked if I could take it. Let me do it & still have it. They had
    another copy...but didn't want to take a chance of being told no.

    Just learned how to set up the repositories in Yum & got a copy of Firefox/TBird/SeaMonkey downloaded. Got more work to do...but love seeing
    what I can mess up & fix to never do it again. It's one of the things I loved about working with DOS...but this new version is smokin' on what it does now.

    For the personal version...you get 6 months of support...but I believe a full year with the pro version. Since I was able to add the year of support for
    less than half of what I would pay additionally for the pro version...just
    got the personal version. My year upgrade ran me $58. Compared to what MS charges/used to charge for retail versions...$58 is very reasonable.
