Not if Putin has his way. Putin has indicated that he desires a buffer zone on the Ukrainian side of the border.
Bunker boy Putin's outrageous attitude knows no bounds.
It clearly indicates that Putin has no desire whatsoever to stop this war. He still believes he can win.
The figures on the battlefield show a different picture, but Putin is very fond of being fooled by his military leadership. They don't tell him how things really stand.
This week it became known that there is a list of 50,000 names of Russian soldiers who have "disappeared" without authorization. Officially, they are absent without leave.
The question is whether that list is actually correct. The Russian government doesn't have to pay anything in these cases. I can imagine that many fallen soldiers have been discharged this way, meaning no pension has to be paid to their widows.
