• Bezos & Zuck

From Aaron Thomas@1:342/200 to All on Thu Jul 10 08:56:15 2025
I was irritated when I watched Trump's inauguration on TV and I saw Jeff
Bezos (Amazon) and Mark Zuckerberg (Facebook/Meta) there. They put the idea into peoples' heads that "We're supportive of President Trump."

According to opensecrets.org (if opensecrets.org is legitimate) Amazon donated $2.3 million and Meta $1.6 million to Kamala's campaign, but neither donated a penny to Trump's campaign.

The 2 elitist sleazeballs DID donate $1 million each to Trump's inaugural committee (this is AFTER he got elected.)

(That's if I got all this information correct.) This stuff is important if you're a guy like me who holds grudges against companies who try to purchase influence and/or hide their loyalty to the Democrat party.

I think this is nothing more than a plea to people to not Bud Light their platforms.

Both are snakes and I will not trust them.

Same here. I like Bezos a little better than Zuck because at least I'm allowed to shop on Amazon.

They are bribes, plain and simple. The cost of doing business with the
    Trump administration.

You didn't read my message that started this thread: they donated even more money to Kamala's campaign than they did to Trump's. It was only after Trump won that they gave him $1 million each (chump change.)

You would have to be insane to think that they didn't have intentions for Kamala also. "The cost of doing business with any administration."

Shall I recount the tale of I (rightfully) labeled 2 new books on BBSs as "woke nonesense" (Yes, that was the most harsh thing I said) and got banned from leaving any reviews on Amazon forever?

Right now, I shop on Amazon only if there's no other real alternative.

I forgot about that. But at least they still let you shop on there. Facebook don't let me do anything unless I produce, film, and upload a gay porn video to them.

I'm the same way with Amazon. I order my furnace filters on there because there's nowhere else to get them.

A lot of people have figured this out but I don't think it's very
common for people to fully analyze all these clues. More than 1/2 the country has rejected Democrats, which is great, but that's a baby step. Now we need them to reject Walmart, Amazon, Facebook, the "news."

I don't shop at Walmart because I didn't marry my cousin.
I avoid Amazon because they are Woke.
I keep my Facebook "circle" very small and focused.

So I really can't speak to whether or not people are starting to reject them.

But we can see that the Media is collapsing due to lack of revenue. So people aren't trusting "the news" anymore.

... To get the point, rub a porcupine backwards.

But I'm sure that if I "purchased" anything for their Swindle eBook
reader or any of their media, I would have lost access to it.

Sorry to interrupt the flow of political rants, but there are ways of
backing up and de-DRMing Kindle books using an older version of Kindle
for Windows, Calibre eBook reader and a couple of plugins.

I backed up all of my Kindle books before they removed the ability to
do so earlier this year and back up books I download incrementally.

It's preferable to purchase ebooks from vendors who don't apply digital
rights management or sell you a "license to use" a book.
