    Hey All,

    So finally got the file bases working with fsxNet. I'm receiving new files as expected and also tested the %rescan function to filefix and it did receive the file (GALLERY.ZIP) and tossed it to the correct filebase. (FSX_DOOR) The issue is, a few minutes later, it looks like it tried to send out the file I grabbed from my hub back out again to him:

    I took a look, but didn't find an option in either the file base configuration or in tickitcfg for it to ignore all of the fsxNet-based file bases and just set them basically to receive only. (not send anything) I''m hoping there's some switch somewhere i didn't notice; I don't want to inundate poor Avon with unnecessary traffic!

    Thanks!

    So looking at the tickit.ini, I thought that I might have the source/linked backwards, but when I go into source address, it gives me "no source address" and my fido and fsx node numbers. I don't have anything set under global.

    DM can correct me if I am wrong, but I think that "Links" entries are for
    nodes that get the file echo *from* you. I don't think you want the system that you receive the file echo from to be listed.

    I just checked my tickit.ini and I do not have the originating system
    listed in my Links entries. I only have systems listed that get the file
    echo from me. Right or wrong, I also don't have SourceAddress coded for
    any of the FSX file echos (my echo entries don't include that line at all).

    I am pretty sure that having Avon's system listed as in Links is why your system is trying to send it back to Avon's.

    not directly, but I did have this in ECHOCFG:

    c:\sbbs\ctrl\fsx_file.na

    AreaMgr = AreaFix
    Pwd = xxxxxxxxxxxxx
    Fwd = false
    Keys =

    [echolist:c:\sbbs\ctrl\fsx_file.na]
    Hub =
    AreaMgr = AreaFix
    Pwd =
    Fwd = false
    Keys =

    In the fsx_file.na:
    ; ========================================================================
    ; FSXNet Fileecho List
    ; ========================================================================
    ;
    ; ------------------------------------------------------------------------

    So it looks like that's actually the culprit? If this is the case, should I leave the source address and links in the tickit.ini and remove that echo list from sbbscfg?

    No, no, and no.

    I believe you said you are just receiving files from your upstream hub,
    and NOT sending them on to any downlinks.

    The 'Links' keyword is *ONLY* used when you have downlinks that you want
    the files to go to. If the Wiki says otherwise it is wrong. You
    absolutely do NOT need to specify a Source Address, either.

    For your use case, as a receiver-only of files from upstream, you only
    need two lines:

    [FSX_NODE]
    Dir=fsx_node

    That's it. That's all. Repeat for other connected areas. Your system
    is sending the files back to your hub *BECAUSE* you have the "links"
    keyword defined. The "Dir" referenced there must already exist in SCFG.

    *NONE* of the other stuff you showed in your example tickit.ini should
    be there.
