When polling my Fido feed, I can only get one file perl poll. Each pool
ends after transfering one file with:

BINKPOLL Timed out receiving packet data from remote:

I edited binkp.js and tripled the this.timeout setting to no effect.

    Anybody have some tips, please?

Running Synchronet 3.16 on Windows 64.

Upgrade to a version which was built in the last decade?

You're running a fairly old version of Synchronet. The issue you're seeing may well have been fixed in a newer version, so it would be good to upgrade. The latest is 3.19 (January 2022), but the latest development version, 3.20, has been stable for quite a while.

I have my reasons to not upgrade at this time, but thanks for the
    insightful response.

I was more hoping for a setting or something I had overlooked. Perhaps
this has been fixed, but if I am one of the few experiencing this issue,
it may not be on anyone's RADAR.

I'm going to try upgrading bintit.js and binkp.js and see what happens.

If by chance it has already been fixed in a newer version though, I'd think the answer would be to update to the newer version..?

I like to know the "why" of things. I would also like confirmation that
the issue is known and fixed instead of just doing an uprade with my
    fingers crossed.

It turns out that this issue must have been discovered in the past,
because I found a change in the binkp.js file that addresses the issue.

In the version that comes with 3.16, if the remote sends a zero length
packet, the whole session is abended. In the version currently supplied
with 3.20, a warning is logged and the session continues.

I replaced binkp.js and binkit.js with the current versions, and things
    appear to be working.

BTW, my Fidonet host is running version 3.15.

I get it, but knowing you're on the latest version is a good baseline to set. We're looking at the same code that you're running, you've got all available bugfixes, and we're not troubleshooting an issue long since addressed.

Lest you feel that it's a hocus-pocus just-in-case upgrade, you can review the commit log, which may describe a fix for the issue you're seeing:

    https://git.synchro.net/gitpushlog.ssjs

It turns out that this issue must have been discovered in the past, because I found a change in the binkp.js file that addresses the issue.

    Case in point I guess.

I replaced binkp.js and binkit.js with the current versions, and things appear to be working.

If it works, that's great - but as a rule I wouldn't recommend mixing new runtime files with an old build. The JS API changes sometimes and inconsistency here can sometimes lead to weirdness.
