    Hmm, I wonder if this is from ecwebv4. I'll take a look, but I'd guess that it happens any time someone loads a page. My website is pretty active.

    No worries, I normally don't mind, but at that particular time I was trying to identify a certain ip and it was becoming difficult to read the logs. That is one downfall of having all of the scipts on a single page, that's why I designed my etrucker sbbs web ui as an iframe based site with the left side bar
    as a responsive menu and the selections appear in the center pane

    Update: Looks like it was still in place. That should cut down the amount of requests by half.

    I removed sbbsimsg from the web UI a while back for this reason. You may wish to update the "who's online" sidebar module.

    I'll address this with caching or something at some point in the future and bring the feature back. I'll be a bit tied up for a while so it won't happen right away. Using a bit of precious free time just to read some messages right now. :D

    You can update or remove web/sidebar/001-nodelist.xjs, which may be causing some unwanted traffic. If you use the install/update script, the newer version can be copied out of web/sidebar/.examples/ after the script has been run.

    This message came in as blank, but I see you also responded to echicken ... no worries, brah, I was only whiny on that particular day because my system was
    having a sort of DoS attack on all services and I was having difficulty reading
    the logs because of the ActiveUsers requests.

    I am sure my system has flooded other SysOp's logs as well ... but, mine is not from the webv4 side bar, as, I scripted my own web interface, which only loads an active link in an <iframe>; as opposed to the entire web interface being reloaded as a whole.

    I apologize for my whininess on that issue
