    I'm guessing a typo in a config file somewhere. Most likely, sbbsecho.ini.

    Yep root is bad I have mine in my home folder and symlinked to /sbbs

    Are you positive? It appears you're missing the entire global section of the sbbsecho.ini in your paste.

    You are running SBBS as "Root"? Here I run SBBS as user "sbbs" and SBBS is run from /home/sbbs/...

    Never even considered running a BBS as root. I try to do as little as possible as root when running SBBS.

    Correct me if my assumption is incorrect regarding how you are running SBBS there.
