Recently I started using Tickit to process my .tic files (I'd rather use that than the 3rd-party tool I had been using). I've read through the TickIt and TickitCfg pages on the wiki but still have some questions:
I've configured a few per-area sections in addition to the global options. However, when I ran TickIt, it placed all the files in the file area I had specified in the global options. It looks like TickItCfg placed the per-area sections below the global options - Does that matter?
Also, several of my FTN feeds have multiple file sections I have subscribed to. However, it looks like TickIt only allows one file area per FTN network - is that correct?
For instance, I recently got my BBS connectedt to
HobbyNet, which has a file section for info & nodelists, and another for music files which I've enabled. With TickIt, would it be possible to have it move the info/nodelist files to one file directory and the music files to another?
I was also looking at the handler scripts, and it sounds like nodelist_handler.js is for updating the nodelist files in the sbbsecho configuration. That sounds fairly cool. But it sounds like it would overwrite the previous nodelist file with the old nodelist filename, is that correct?
No, that's not correct. Each section in the .ini is an FDN *area* definition. The section name is the FDN area tag.
I think is spelled out pretty clearly at: https://wiki.synchro.net/module:tickit#configure
