You might want to try setting the [Locked Baud] command line option.
See the sysop.doc file.

I'd be surprised if that made any difference, with Synchronet at least. Synchronet's FOSSIL and virtual UART driver ignores whatever baud rate an application tries to set it to. It just communicates over the TCP socket as fast as possible.

Some doors may work better in UART versus FOSSIL mode, so that's worth experimenting with. And if you're not using the latest Synchronet virtual UART / FOSSIL components, I definitely suggest you upgrade:
sbbsexec.dll (in your Windows\System32 directory on modern Windows)
dosxtrn.exe (in your sbbs/exec directory)
