Keep in mind my knowledge of sbbs is a work in progress, I am trying to sort out this fidonet area problem still. I cannot find a version 320a to upgrade to? Also I have found it is definitely not my msg lister (3rd party) I did not think it was as rest of my ftn's have no trouble. Taking advice from DM and others ive tried to sort it out, I have found that I do not have a msgs.ini any where on the server, and that smbutil cannot get status anything fidonet.

v3.20 has not been released yet. The current development code (https://wiki.synchro.net/install:dev) is v3.20a.

Yeah, you need to fix that. The files should be owned by whatever user sbbs is running as.
