Hi all,
Trying to add the Yankee Trader door. I can get it to start up, but
then it dumps out and back to the BBS, and if I look quickly enough I
see that it is attempting to "open COM 1". I've defined it to use
Fossil in SCFG
and the DORINFO1.DEF drop file as the docs say to do.
Does anybody have this running? If you do, would you mind posting your
SCFG config for it?
Oh, I'm using Linux/dosemu for this. Thanks in advance!

Are you sure Yankee Trader support FOSSIL?

Which docs?

I have it running on Windows using UART emulation, but I don't
think that helps you.

Yankee Trader is notoriously FOSSIL-unfriendly. The behavior
you're describing is typical.

Yep - I wrote (and maintain) a fairly comprehensive setup guide
for running this door game using DOSBox.

However...

... my setup guide is written with Windows in mind. You'll have
to adapt it for your system since you're running Linux.
DOSBox/DOSBox-X is cross-platform, so (in theory) it should work
for you just fine. It may help to also refer to this page
(portions of which I borrowed from heavily):

Good luck! If you do manage to get it working, let me know the
steps you took. I'd like to add a Linux subsection to the
document.
