    Hello everybody!

Just to let you all know that having been on 50Mb down and 5 Mb upload speed using VM, I have changed the system / upgraded ? it to 137Mb Down and 20Mb up.

All this after having 2 bills from VM (this and last month) showing phone calls
that were not itemised. Now I must admit that these where around 0.40 but I could not get a reason for it to have occurred when speaking to their rep in India and he asked did I still want the landline and as I do not use it but do use a VOIP service said no and how much less would it be ?

Turned out it is going down from 28 PM to 26 PM.

A saving, small but all helps and I get a faster speed at a reduced monthly cost, bargain :)

Just had to sign up for another 18 month contract and I can live with that.

So the upshot is, your downloads will be quicker if you are looking at your system when connected here.

For the moment I will still restrict number of callers at same time to 2 as there is also www and ftp downloads also happening although I might kill off the ftp service.

    Vincent

    20Mb up.

I've just got rid of the 1Gig service I had with VM, the prices started getting out of hand and they woudlnt budge, so I've cancelled the lot and got a Vodafone over CityFibre 900Mb up & down symetrical serivce with a static IP for £28 a month on a two year deal.

For the moment I will still restrict number of callers at same time to 2 as there is also www and ftp downloads also happening although I might
    kill off the ftp service.

Please keep the FTP service - I use that sometimes when I want to get a bunch of files from applewood :)
