• My notify messages

From Vincent Coen@2:250/1 to All on Sat Feb 15 15:38:16 2025

    Hello everybody!

It has been pointed out to me that these monthly messages use the closest AKA to the receivers AKA that is used, for those notify msgs.

I had a query regarding this from a node in 2:263 and there are only two, asking what address should be used in sending in requests to areafix or filemgr.

At the moment I cannot control what AKA address is used but the address to ALWAYS use is 2:250/1 regardless what AKA is used on the sending msgs.

All this because I am the Fido Host for Region 2:25, Net hosts for 2:250 (The UK) and 2:263 (Ireland).

Other than msgs going to net 2:263, all others should be using 2:250 but please
advise if this is NOT the case as many go outside of region 2:25.

Information For those outside the UK, Northern Ireland is part of the UK but Southern Ireland is a separate country.

The UK consists of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland (despite the EU so called rules on export / import of goods et al). There are some islands that are also in the UK for various admin purposes such as defence, etc.

If the fix does not occur soon I guess I will have to look at the code and
fix it myself, although my C is very rusty these days so would prefer not to
    do it.

I haven't programmed since the 80s. Used to be very good with Turbo C, still have the install discs somewhere
