I have hopped on a few times but no one is about. I must say I tend to prefer echomail to live chat as at least you can read messages when you want and the conversation is shared with the whole community.
Yep, I totally agree. At present it would only really be useful if there
were a group of us chatting at a set time or something, because as it is
we're always going to miss each other.
I just figured rather than each board running their own magichat server
for internode chatting, one central one might be better.
I'm planning on writing a GUI chat program that can be used seperatly,
mainly so I can idle in there all the time, rather than try and stay
connected to the bbs (and get booted for inactivity). It might be a good
way then to support people who have questions.
I just have to get motivated to do write it.
