    I do work with a leading car manufacturer as a contract worker processing warranty claims and recall claims.

    Here is some advice:

    Make sure the claim is based on the reason why the warranty extention or recall is based on.

    Make sure you have complete invoices sent, make sure you have your payment reciept.

    Preferably make sure parts and labor are seperated out.

    Try to get the job done at the dealership for your car make. Eg: Ford/Honda/Mercedes Benz.
