    Somehow this 2018 movie got past without me noticing, so I'm posting in case it happened to anyone else.

    A Futile and Stupid Gesture is about Doug Kenney, the creator of National Lampoon. It stars Will Forte, unfortunately, but I suppose he does an ok job in this one. It's sort of "just another" sad artist story, where they're really good, but don't necessarily know how to interpret or deal with their success.
    It's presented well, though, with some very good comedy. Maybe not exactly kid-friendly, though.

    If anything, I found this movie to be a bit better than any of the ones they made :D

    I thought this movie was fun and a good watch. If you like anything from National Lampoon I think you'd like it too.
