I don't think it's getting particularly good reviews. Saw it last night with the family. Honestly, I think it's better than the second one. Not
as good as the first one, but the first one was probably in the top-five Marvel movies, IMO. I think a lot of the negative reviews are just
'comic book movie' fatigue. Everybody loved cowboy movies until they didn't.

I went and watched Gardians Tuesday night. It has it's moments, and does
well in others... Overall I'd give it 3.5 stars....

    SPOILER.......

It's really a backstory movie about one of the characters and how he was created. I was expecting him to be leaving the show after seening the
shorts, but it turened out to be other characters...

Interesting, I have yet to watch the latest AntMan movie and will do so when it drops on Disney+ but I tend to agree I think they/we may be getting a bit fatigued by all the super heroes and the twisty interconnected movie plots now.

It's kinda hard to top the Avengers: Endgame story arc.

I did enjoy the what if? animations, I always loved the comics that
changed around the comic book worlds and opened the door to multiverses.

Agreed. If it was just these 3 movies, people would be all over this.
Also the main premise was saving the friend vs the galaxy, so they tried :).

That about sums it up. But, if someone hasn't seen the first two, it shouldn't detract from watching the third one. There's not much you need to know going into it, if anything at all, because they mostly remind you who the characters are. People are often worried about watching sequels without seeing the first film(s), but I don't think that's an issue in this case.

I keep saying, "who cares about the fake comic bookers ... " we all know most of the fans didn't spend their lives reading them .. (my opinion).

I kept saying, if someone died in the war, instead of bringing them back to please the comic bookers, or the fans, why not just say something like, "Hey -- this movie took place after #2, but before the War"? I didn't watch the War, so I can't complain more than that LOL

... and, no, I was one of those who did not grow up reading comic books. I watched SAT morning cartoons -- back when they had them.
