• Hello World.

So I used to do BBSes, back in the day. In my case, "the day" was from the
late 80's when I acquired an accoustic coupler my school no longer required
and paired it with a TRS-80 model 100 I'd got on discount because the model
102 was out (even so it was was the proceeds of a lot of shelf stacking on evenings and weekends in Asda) until - I guess it was when the BBS I'd taken over sysop duties of (Transwowld in Bristol) finally succombed to hard disk failure and the rise of the internet in, I think it must have been, '97 or
'98? Anyway I felt a wave of nostalgia for the BBS days and thought I'd see what was out there so here I am.

A bit more history, I started in computer with a ZX81 then a ZX Spectrum, TRS-80 (which I even took to school on occasion and linked to the school's
380z so I could write programs on the trash 80 to run on the 380z). After school and having a little more money I got an Amiga 500 which is what I did most of my BBSing on including a fido point. The experience BBSing got me a
job doing tech support at Compu$erve and from there I moved to Unix admin
both in Universities and Private sector which is what I've been doing for a living since.

Anyway I've set up Syncterm and MultiMail so I guess it's time to subscribe
    to some echos again.

... Heisenberg may have slept here.
