Hi, Keyop.
Well I'm about to take the plunge and buy a Beeb.
Question is ... should I get a BBC model B, or a BBC Master?
I think all the cool kids have the Master. I have the model B :)
I can definitely recommend the Beeb SD card adaptor thingie, I forget the name but I can look it up if you're interested. I don't even play the games that came with it, I just use it as permanent storage because I don't have any real 5.25" floppies (even though I have the drives).
I feel like the Master might be more usable because you can put sideways RAM in without modifying it, it seems like every terminal emulator in existence on the Beeb, other than the 12 line type-in BASIC one and the one I wrote, comes as a ROM so if you're planning on BBSing then your life will be much easier with a Master.
If you are planning on doing serial stuff you should probably start looking for a Domino 5 pin DIN plug while you're about it :)
