    Hi, Keyop.

Keyop is currently watching ... "Making the most of the Micro" - 1983

Oh, yes - a friend of mine pointed me at the BBC's rewind site where all the MtMotM, Micro Live, Computer Program, etc. are archived and viewable without any ads. I think I nailed them all over the course of about a month.

I did think it would be fun to make a YouTube series going through some of the predictions made on those programmes and looking at what came true and what didn't.

I've managed to get through all 10 episodes in two days - with the 2 hour live special to watch now.

I've been working my way through the Computer Literacy Project 1980-1989 - https://clp.bbcrewind.co.uk/programmes

Its a great tour of computer programmes of the era.

It is, it's amazing to see how some predictions went exactly how they thought, some were way off and some were a mixture. Listening to the sensible concerns of people in industry about computer adoption really echoes today with AI.

The other thing that surprised me was the oddly polite sexist undertones dotted throughout the whole thing. Very of its time :\

Thats exactly what I was thinking re comparison to today's AI fears.

Ah yes the references to "he" the IT or boss person would want this or that, or "his" secretary - she would .....

And the number of people smoking at their desk, or in meetings ....

Well I watched the 2hr special yesterday and really enjoyed it - especially the "hacking" bit from Oz & yug :)
