  • Ultimate64 / 1541 now emulates 1541/1571/1581

    Hi All!

    Gideon has added 1571 and 1581 support to his Ultimate 64 and Ultimate 1541 products.
    Works really well!
    He also added some nice other new features!

    I need to get some time to sit down with my U64 and get it installed.. Wish
    he did the CMD HD emulation but that can happen at a later time I guess.. :)

    Usually you can use the software IEC as one huge disk.
    What advantage does CMD HD emulation have over the SD2IEC like software IEC interface?

    Mainly for if I decide to put one of my BBS' back on it. I ran a BBS on it until about 6 months ago with a uIEC/sd and it worked well, but the U64 was just too fast for the uIEC in my opinion, especially when bumping up the
    speed to 30mhz or higher. In the case of using it for a BBS one huge disk
    isn't a good thing as you probably know..
