So, to the point, if you have a C64, C128, or an Amiga. I would happily accept a donation from you. I have my PC, yes, and I could do with the emulators, yes, but nothing like handling the real thing.
Well my friend... you are not asking for cheap stuff. A C64/C128 or
Amiga in good conditions can be sold with great benefits :)
Miss my 1541 Floppy Disk Drive. It was my pride and joy back in the
middle 80's :,(

old Lt Kernal Clone, I said enough is enough I am not going to kill the
HD and computers over BBS' so I am not fully on Emulation for my BBS'
and use my real stuff for myself..
Yea, I don't know one person on this network, probably ANY of the BBS FTNs, that would pass up a 'C64, C128 or an Amiga' donation. I'm not
Wow! so Wrong Number runs over emulation and not real C64? what emulator program are you using, if I can ask?
Well... guess we need to transform ourselves in YouTubers and "accept hardware donations" as some I saw (and they actually gets nice old
vintage stuff!!!).
It was just a question. Nothing gained but not asking. Right?
Ok - So...I have given up on the idea, and went 120 miles to see my brother, I "stole" his C128 which was collecting dust and other unwanted items...Beer stains, Coke stains, other stains...He had completely forgotten it - but not his wife...she was very very happy for it to be gone so she could have the desk and use it for her laptop. Well, again, nothing gained without asking.
So now I have a very ugly C128 that works perfectly. Now I have to clean it, disinfect it (from real live bugs), remove all the smoke crap, and everything else...
Thank you for your help. :)
Now I need to start looking for C128 compatible things...
David
cell number on it. I got a call at like 3am from some guy who sounded
like he was stoned out of his mind asking me how much I was gonna pay
him for a Pent computer (Yes he said Pent) with 8 megs of ram and a 200 meg hd! I took the ad down that next morning!
LOL! Bucko... your future is in YouTube. You know it. I know it. Now, let's those guys willing to donate great Commodore stuff know it :)

LOL nah, no one wants to see my ugly mug on YouTube.. I've been told I make a can look good!
Wrong Number IV, and the new Time Warp BBS (Changing to Bucko's Den soon) both run with Vice, Wrong Number IV, with a CMD HD/Ramlink/SCPU
emulation, and Time Warp on a 128 Emulation with a CMD HD emulation.
Both boards run in Linux because I like not having to deal with the Windows nonsense of updates, nothing like checking your board after not being home for 2 days and finding out that 2 hours after you left
Windows installed updates and rebooted the machine! LOL This board I am
on right now is all PC.. :)
Well... you are gonna miss a lot of stuff then :P think about those 1541 and the sticky floppy disk that you can get for free!
Thanks for the explanation! It is a gas to see a BBS running on Vice!
Don't tell me about Windows bloody updates! more than once my BBS get stuck due those damn updates! who needs updates for software than seems from the middle 80's? :P
If You want to check him out, just search WunderTech on YouTube.. He has
a ton of followers.. Hell I watch his vids then have him explain them to my feeble mind!
LOL The emulated board my Image runs on if I had to buy the hardware it
is using back in theday it would have cost me probably a couple of
grand. Today? Just the SCPU I have seen for $4g or better! It's crazy!
Man! I just watched your "kid" videos... and feel sooooooo old :P heavy techie stuff he teach! congrats!

Yeah, crazy and cheap times I see :) but tell me the truth: you miss
(like I miss) that crazy sounds that came from the 1541 and the breadbin on your room running your system (I know you miss it because I MISS my first BBS "The Connection BBS" that rans in the middle 80 in a C64 and with only one side floppy disk :P).
helping write Image 2.0 he was sitting right next to me playing with HIS PC! Now this kid is teaching the old man!!
the disk OR the disk went bad.. When I was running SFD-1001 disks I
would always know when someone was logging on I would hear them fire up.
So yea, I kinda do miss it, but I can and have run more boards in emulation now then I ever could have back then! LOL I had at one point
all 3 Image versions running on 1 computer in Emulation... LOL
Nice memories! :)
As the late Lord Vader used to said: "The Appretince becames the Master".
My 16 years old kid just entered one time at my BBS and that's because I asked to :,(
DAMN KID! :)
YEAH! I know the feeling. "I'm a hot shot. Look at the people visiting my BBS" :) it was a niiiiice time back then.
Do you have somewhere (maybe FB, maybe YouTube) a video where I can see the PC running the BBS's in "emulation mode"? I'm still "fliping"
knowing you can emulate not 1 but 3 BBS's in the same machine! :P
***
Actually, I never took any pics of the 3 of them running at once the closest I have is a picture on my website of a emulated board, and 3 BBS Servers running on the one pc and my current setup of my Image 3.0 and
my C-Net 128 board both in emulation on 1 PC.. My website is wnbbs.duckdns.org If you want to check it out.. :)
WOW MAN! I'm drowling (that's the word when you have your mouth open an "liquid" is falling from it?) you have a VERY NICE setup! and the room when the magic happens is very cool and tidy!
As we say here in Argentina "I'm dying of love" with your rack and the Commodores & 1541 on it!
What are the "three gray boxes" under the 1541?
You have a GREAT setup my friend. Best I have seen so far. CONGRATS!
***
The three boxes under the the 1541 on the bottom shelf are a Dell i3 3.5ghz, Dell i3 3.3ghz and a Dell i5 3.5ghz PC machines.. They run the emulations and the other BBS'
Thanks again, I really appreciate the kind comments.. :)
They look pretty neat. And seems small too, not a HUGE tower from what I can
see. Cool and classy!
You deserve them my friend, your setup is "top of the line" and made me feel
sooooo amateur :)
