• Waking computer Pro vs. Home

From micky@21:1/5 to All on Mon Oct 14 11:01:23 2024
How come with my desktop windows10 Pro, to wake the computer from sleep,
I have to press the physical Power button,
    but
to wake the laptop win10 Home, I only have to press the space key, or
probably any key on the keyboard? Not even the built-in keyboard, but
    the USB keyboard?

    Device Manager
    Expand Keyboard item
    Expand Mouse item

Verify each device shown under Keyboard and Mouse has its Power
Management setting configured to 'allow this device to wake computer'

Hey, that's great. I only thought about Settings, never would have
thought about Device Manager. I set the desktop keyboard to wake it,
and I ALSO turned off the mouse from waking it on the laptop. Sometimes
I sleep at my desk (since the ceiling inmy bedroom fell onto my bed) and
I kept waking up the screen. So I get double the benefit from your
answer from what I expected. Thanks.
