Hmm, I don't recall if I filed a claim for my 6s Plus. The last class
action I received a check from was from Uber where the check was for
$0.15, and I spent it wisely on three capacitors from the local
electronics surplus store.

I'm sure Apple's defense lawyers & the prosecuting lawyers were paid well.
In the end analysis, I wonder if it would have been less expensive for
Apple to have come clean at the beginning and to have simply set up a voluntary recall to replace all the affected batteries for two cycles
(which would have covered the life of almost all the affected iPhones)?
That's what any decent reputable company would have done, don't you think?
What do you think it would have cost had Apple just done the right thing?
