    That and around 25 lbs of pinto beans are going to be my fate for
    Saturday .... because once again it's time for BEANFEST ! Every year
    around the end of October Mountain View Arkansas has Beanfest , a bean
    cooking competition . And the Outhouse Races ... gas powered by bean fed strapping young men .
    This will be my 3rd year as a competitor and I'm optimistic that my
    smoked pork butt bean recipe is going to be a winner . I've been testing recipes out on my family and neighbors and have settled on the final
    version I'll be using for the competition . We all think it's pretty
    good . I hope the judges agree .

    A pinch of brown sugar, a few drops of maple syrup, and a generous dose
    of kick-a-pooh joy juice added right at the end.
