Wholeheartedly agree. Illiterate people should forfeit the
right to vote. That would put Democrats in the dark ages
    forever.

First, the USA was designed to be multi-cultural, so
English-Only, esp for voting, is the wrong path. Proper
voter ID however ... that DOES strengthen the system,
    helps keep it semi-honest.

Second, the 'modern' electronics-heavy system IS
very corruptible at several levels. Tampering with
individual voting machines ... too many ... but
further up the count-collection tree there is the
very real possibility of both domestic and foreign
tampering. Vote cheats are hardly unknown in US
politics either, infamous in some locales .......

    At THIS juncture, *foreign* tampering/corruption
is a rising spectre. Russia and China are in a
new imperialistic mode and have proven capable
    of penetrating basically ANY computer-based
system commercial or govt. They could swing an
election, or just corrupt results in ways designed
to create domestic chaos and distrust.

For any "democracy", people HAVE to have confidence
in the vote. Lacking that it's a very short road to
some kind of tyrannic extreme and/or martial law.

If the November election comes down to just a percent
in critical places, given current vote "security",
there's gonna be big trouble. No matter WHO the
ultimate winner is claimed to be, 50% won't BELIEVE it.
So much for "democracy". Vlad and Xi will toast our
    dissolution.
