Howdy! Does anyone have experience with the PineBook Pro? It looks like a really nice piece of FOSS hardware!
[Just joined, sorry for the super late response!]
I use a PineBook Pro... its awesome; albeit an owner should want/know how to tinker in Linux. The hardware is built well, aside from a sucky trackpad... it is solid, and priced correctly.
The software used to be a little shaky, but with Manjar ARM now supporting the platform fully its becoming pretty darn solid. I use this ARM laptop as my main Raspberry Pi [same ARM arch...] tinkering system... I use it to do things for my Pi projects... all the same software works, and I can keep all my Pi stuff on a separate laptop than my daily driver. Works well.
All that said, you'll come across issues every now and then that require some linux know-how to get beyond. I wouldn't give this laptop to my kids, or mother.. but for most of us here it's probably a solid fit for basic computer needs. Just a nice package for ARM based computing; and goes great with your SBC projects.
Cheers.
