Hey gang,
What's up everyone doing? Good I hope. Lets get some conversation
going. I'd like to get some moderators on some of these echoes in this network. I have a couple so far. Any takers?

I'll have to do that when things calm down over here...
There's a lot happening right now. My wife's mother has been battling cancer since around the first of the year. She has taken a severe turn
for the worse, and is now in the hospice program at my sister-in-law's house in St. Louis. Yesterday, my wife flew to St. Louis to spend the weekend with her parents, before something happens.
Overall, they have both had good lives, as my fater-in-law is 88 and my mother-in-law is 87.
We're not sure what is going to happen with any funeral arrangements
with all of this virus stuff happening... Not even sure they are going
to be allowed to have a funeral...
So, just a lot on my mind, and not being able to sleep. I've been
trying to submerse myself in updating the BBS, and creating MPLs, and whatnot... It helps during the day, but at night, lying in bed, your
mind wanders to everything that's happening...

The librarian fell asleep in the restroom. :P
And forgot to flush, but shhh... I'm not gonna tell anybody else!
I've got a graphic in one of the BBS file areas, showing things like coffee, Coca-Cola, or whiskey, as an IV drip. :P
Or the woman is having her blood work analyzed, and the doctor tells her:
"The red spots are red blood cells. The white spots and white blood cells. The brown spots are coffee. We need to talk". <G>
I should stop over and check out your BBS. I don't think I've been
there yet...
At least it was coffee, and wasn't so full of something else, her blood was brown. :)
I don't recall if you're already in there or not, as I do the QWK Mail and logons via another computer. But, if you want to get pre-approved, send an email to wx1der@gmail.com -- and I'll tell you what I need to
get you started. I'll give you Visiting Sysop access, since I know you
run a BBS already.
At least it was coffee, and wasn't so full of something else, her blo was brown. :)
Never thought of that...but I think that applies to the politicians. :P
Jon,
Yeah, gotta have priorities.
Plus, some days, I don't feel like logging on. And, if there are thunderstorms in the area, that means no computer work at all. While
I have the means to get the BBS into the cloud, I've had other tasks
to take care of first before doing that. But, once I can get the BBS
into the cloud, it won't go offline for thunderstorms, power, or
internet outages.
Considering I hadn't downloaded a packet in a week...and there are several autoposts (recycling on a 90 day basis), that post every 3-4
days.
There was a comic strip from Bloom County years ago, that I had been looking for, for several years...and finally found it. Opus The Penguin goes into a Burger King, and wants a Herring Whopper With Cheese (but, hold the head (I guess he wants onions) <G>). The caricature of the cashier looked almost like yours truly, who worked for Burger King for
5 years in central Arkansas 40 years ago. :P
Jon,
The best thing in the morning is a Word to God and a cup of coffe!
I'll pass on the coffee. I had been drinking diet green tea, but my doctor said "that was too much caffeine"...so, it's back to flavored water. However, if I eat out, I order sweet tea instead of soda.
I always voice a prayer before I go out on errands, and before the
meal. But, I think of where the Sunday School teacher asked her kids
class if they pray before eating...and one little girl piped up "We
don't have to...my Mom is such a good cook!!" <G>.
The librarian fell asleep in the restroom. :P
And forgot to flush, but shhh... I'm not gonna tell anybody else!
Or like the cartoon from Gary Larson's "The Far Side". This guy is coming out of the restroom...and all of a sudden, lights flash, bells ring, and sirens sound...as the sign flashes "DIDN'T WASH HANDS!!" <G>.
I did try connecting to the address given in the origin line, and was unable to connect. There may be bad weather in your area, so I'll try again later. I have sent you a brief email.

I'm on-line most days. Usually on Mystic Relay Chat (MRC). I've heard

That'll be great to get your BBS on-line 24/7. There's been a lot of
down time due to storms for you; this I've heard from you.

Since lockdown in March or so I've managed to eliminate all soda from my diet... okay with very minor exception when we splurge and get In 'n Out Burger. But I digress.

We got a soda stream a few years back. At first we were buying the sugary I wasn't really crazy on their sugar free stuff, and their Italian soda flavours were not that great. I usually drink a can or two of seltzer water a day. I'll switch around brandsto get some variety in flavors. I like the ones that are essenced i.e. verylittle flavor. I'll also drink regular plain sparkling water.

I like your idea of making ice cubes from the juice to add to the water. I might try that.
We had a Soda Stream back in the 80's when I was a kid. I seem to remembersome of the flavors were pretty nasty. Coke just didn't taste
like coke. Iseem to remember there was a pink Gremlins flavored one.
Woah, I had no idea Soda Stream has been around that long!
It looks like it was founded in 1903 by the London gin distillers, though home machines were not

Hope all is good...
I didn't marry until I was 43, but I never dreamed I'd be a widower
at 47. I never remarried, and we never had kids, so I'm the last of
my line. At this stage of life, folks have too much baggage, such as:
1) They can't manage money (credit cards)
2) They let their kids treat them like crap (cussing them out, etc.).
3) They or their kids are in trouble with the law, are convicted felons,
etc.
I basically don't want, or need that extra drama in my life.
attack. So, apparently, I caught this mess in time.
reached out but told I was never there for them. Even after car loans, college tuition x3. So when asked I state never had kids.
3) They or their kids are in trouble with the law, are convicted felons,
Lucky never been there.
I think you did, better eatting and as much lack of stress and you
can! agreed! At this point we better da*mm well look after our self!
As stated before, I'm not ready to say Goodspeed for you or me!
It's so sad that so many marriages end so quick with divorce...which is a vow tied with a slipknot. I've heard of folks get married on a Friday, and they are filing for divorce on a Monday. Or, they get married on New Years Eve, then get divorced on Jan. 2, just to show they were married the previous year on their tax forms.
