TURMEL: Oxford federal byelection debate in Ingersoll

JCT: This is the video I taped of last Thursday night's
debate in Ingersoll Ontario in Oxford County. It's between
Woodstock and London. There are 7 candidates: Green Cheryle
Baker, NDP Cody Groat, Liberal David Hilderley, Conservative
Arpan Khanna, Christian Heritage John Markus, People's Party
Wendy Martin, John The Engineer Turmel.

Someone must have nudged the camera because NDP candidate
Cody Groat isn't shown on the left. Too bad, he wrote a
great report on me a decade ago.

The first thing organizer Colleen Wake said she'd ask if any
member of the audience objected to my camera taping the
event. If someone objected, even at the back of the room, it
would have been disallowed. I think it's nuts to let people
at a public meeting object to it being recorded. I doubt it
would would have been brought up had it been a TV station.
But luckily, no one objected so we have my record of it.

1:25 Ms. Wake reads out their anti-harassment policy. I was
so puked out I'm reproducing it here:

Harassment is not a joke. It is cruel and destructive
behaviour against others that can have devastating effects.
It is an expression of perceived power and superiority by
the hoarser(s) over another person, based on their:

basis, which humiliates or degrades.

JCT: Lots of reasons to be offended. Very "woke."

"Unwelcome" in this context means any actions which the
harasser knows, or ought reasonably to know, are not wanted
by the victim of the harassment.

JCT: Better not call someone an "asshole" any more. All you
have to then prove is that you reasonably did not know what
you ought to have known, when it is presumed you did. So
much for "Sticks and stones may break my bones but names
will never hurt me."

Our goal as a union must be to help create an environment
free of harassment. That means not only dealing with
complaints when they arise, but also watching for instances
of harassment and confronting the source.

JCT: Be vigilant for anyone being offended.

Any resolution must reflect the serious nature of such acts
and send a clear signal that they will not be tolerated.

JCT: Seems like we may need more jails for the serious acts.

All of us must challenge harassment whenever it occurs.

JCT: Whenever the offended object.

If at any point a situation arises that could be
reflective of harassing course of conduct

JCT: Reflective? It looks like it to me.

the audience, such person will be asked to leave
immediately.

JCT: And if I disagree with the wokesters and won't leave,
they'll have to call the cops for someone who felt offended.

At 51:40, organizer Colleen Wake explains that John Markus
wasn't banned from the debate. He was going to be late and
since he could not obey their rules and be there on time, he
wasn't allowed to participate at all. He wasn't banned, he
was kept out for having to be late out of respect to the
audience and candidates. Wokesters ruining the game.
