Canon Gordon Rideout faces 37 other paedophile offences dating back to between 1962 and 1973.
He is charged in total with 36 counts of abusing boys and girls in their early teens.
A further two charges relate to attempted unlawful sexual intercourse with a girl.
Sussex resident Rideout allegedly carried out abuse in Crawley and Hampshire, as well as London.
He will appear at Mid Sussex magistrates court on July 16.
