A city realtor and former president of the Brantford
Regional Real Estate Association has been appointed to fill
the Ward 1 vacancy on city council.

Rose Sicoli was chosen from among 21 candidates who vied for
the position at a special council meeting Saturday morning.
Each candidate got to make a five-minute speech

Other Ward 1 candidates were Sandra Biggar, Gino Caputo,
Debi Dignan-Rumble, Catherine Grieve, Linda Hunt, Erica
James, Jared LeMay, Sherry Lickers, Mario Lucente, Paul
MacDougal, Rebecca Moscoe, Tiffany Nelson, James Ray, Randy
Schelhas, John Starkey, Andy Straisfeld, John Turmel and
Mike Tutt.

JCT: So my actual elections contested stand at 105.
