The other day I commented somewhere about a poster I'd seen of a mouse
being swallowed by a snake, but the mouse had his hands around the
snakes throat in a "never give up" context. It was in a lawyer's office.
Then for grins I went looking for this poster, and instead found a more
recent and popular one involving a pelican and a frog. Same idea.
AND... shortly after, as far as I can tell, a Fox News contributing
political cartoonist did THIS:

Ukrainian people: If _I_ had the resources, I'd deliver weapons, food,
medical supplies, and whatever else you're running out of, to your
country IMMEDIATELY. You know, like "lend-lease" to the British back in
WW2.
But REGARDLESS of how GUTLESS and INCOMPETENT that *OUR* politicians
are, making speeches and then MAKING EXCUSES for why the support is
being held up (or whatever), please, NEVER GIVE UP.
Russian people, you too. DO NOT LET THIS WAR CONTINUE. You might
actually have to do some kind of coup d'état UNLESS YOU *WANT* TO BECOME
THE SOVIET UNION AGAIN!!
Because, you KNOW that is where "Vlad the Putinator" is taking you.
It's like he wants to be IVAN THE TERRIBLE, or maybe even STALIN, the
way he is acting these days. And unless you *WANT* to live *THAT* way,
AGAIN, it's time to REBEL.
(but your recent history from the 90's suggests that you CAN SUCCEED, so
PLEASE DO, for YOUR sake as well as THE WORLD, before Vlad the Putinator
STARTS CHUCKING NUKES AT EU AND THE REST OF THE WORLD in a "Win at ANY
Cost" manouver. And then, we'd ALL lose)
