Gloating Putin boasts of 'completing the defeat' over Ukraine
    in Kursk region

Vladimir Putin has today boasted that Russia has almost
completely defeated Ukraine in the Kursk region - just
one day after agreeing to a partial 30-day ceasefire
during a call with Donald Trump.

Speaking at a board meeting of the Prosecutor General's
Office, the despot claimed Russian troops 'have recently
carried out a number of swift, bold, and effective operations'
and are now 'completing the defeat of enemy forces in the
    Kursk region.'

Putin said that all Ukrainian troops in the region
    are 'terrorists'

    . . .

Think ... this is a GOOD thing. It means Vlad is
shrinking down his idea of 'victory' in this mess.
USED to be ALL of Ukraine ... now he's talking
about specific cities and small regions.

Politics ... Vlad HAS to appear 'victorious' (as
does Trump). By tweaking definitions they can both
get there - and it can end (for an unknown period).
This is the old game ... and the rules must be obeyed.

Russia and the USA are equally powerful, indeed - as
Trump mentioned - equally capable of world-ending
aggressions. SOME (un)happy medium MUST be reached
    in Ukraine, and SOON.

Ukraine/Zelensky seems to understand the Way Things
Have To Be (for now). Don't LIKE it - understandably -
but it's rare to get everything you want.

LOOKS like the USA and EU are now kinda sneaking
munitions to Ukraine while claiming otherwise.
Ukraine has been able to launch some nasty attacks
on Russian troops and infrastructure just the past
few weeks - even taking down a MAJOR bridge they'd
been after for years. This didn't happen without
semi-covert western support. But, nobody can ADMIT
anything. If needed, they can keep afflicting Vlad
for quite awhile yet. It's a pressure tactic.

Russia, on the flip, has seriously gone after the
    Ukrainian electric/utility sector, a matching
    pressure tactic.

To END all this pressure - 'victory' or something
like it must be declared. NObody is gonna like
the compromise ... which usually means it's a
    compromise that can HOLD.

Vlad STILL wants back all the old USSR - it's
his 'mission from god' so to speak. But also
he's very smart, maybe realizes that 'god'
    will have to make-do.

AFTER Vlad ... successors may be WORSE and not
nearly as smart - just Crush/Kill/Destroy.
There's your WW-3 ... and 'humanity' is, at best,
reduced to a few odd tribes on distant islands
and such. More likely the cockroaches rule ....
