Trump to face off with one of his biggest liberal critics as
Kid Rock brokers White House summit

Donald Trump is set to meet with Bill Maher after a decades-long
feud with the liberal comedian in a summit brokered by mutual
friend Kid Rock at the White House.

Maher has long insulted Trump even before his formal entry
into politics, with a lawsuit launched by the president in
2013 over claims made by the comedian that Trump's father
    was an orangutan.

As recently as late 2024, Trump ranted against Maher as a
    'befuddled mess, sloppy and tired.'

However, Kid Rock appears to be attempting to make peace or
at least a meeting between the two.

Maher told fellow comic Andrew Schultz on an episode of
his podcast Club Random set to debut Sunday that the
    meeting is happening.

'Kid Rock was here a couple of weeks ago, and he said,
'I want you to meet Trump.' He said, 'I'm gonna take you
to the White House.' So now we're gonna do that,'
    Maher said.

    . . .

Ok, politics has decidedly gone weird the past decade.

Now "Kid" - who has become an influential MAGA guy -
is acting as an ambassador, trying to bring both(?)
a little more towards the center ... or at least
to be somewhat tolerant of each other.

Not too long back we would not have expected any of
this from "Kid" - just seemed a wild cowboy/redneck
hard rocker who liked loud music, big guns and stuff
    that blows up.

    But, ya NEVER KNOW.

Seems he was a lot smarter and circumspect than we
imagined AND has managed to work his way close to
    the top political people.

Now Maher and Trump ... that goes WAY back. Trump
IS 'larger than life' and pretty egotistical, which
made good fodder for comedians. However Maher did
go all sour on the WokieComs, was finally old and
wise enough to see they were total, oft dangerous,
bullshit. I think he's still a 'liberal', but not
    THAT kind of liberal.
