  • Push for More USA "Rare Earths" Mining

    At present, China supplies the bulk of the valuable
    'rare earth' elements. These are key to a host of
    modern tech. However China is hinting at an export
    ban.

    From old news stories, I recall that a number of USA
    sites for these elements (plus lithium) had been
    identified. However the Greenie Mafia had been using
    the courts/EPA to block development. There's ALWAYS
    some kind of three-colored flea or muto-minnow ....

    However Trump has ruined that tactic - so it'd be
    our interests to develop several more mines and
    do it ASAP.

    Do NOT know how difficult it is to separate and
    refine the various elements alas. Might be kinda
    quick and easy, or not.

    Idiot. The government does not develop mines.

    As soon as the expected profits are high enough, private capital
    will fund private mining companies.

    It does not matter how many forests idjt demands be destroyed,
    only what oil can be sold profitably= will be drilled and pumped.

    It's GONNA. The rare earth threat is too great.
    It will hire, and subsidize, private contractors.
    Truth, we should hope to get product within a year,
    otherwise China will gain too much advantage.

    Variations on the "Defense Production Act" are
    warranted in the current international climate.

    Big investment ... it'll be quicker under the DPA
    umbrella. Also needed will be the federal power to
    squash the Greenie Mafia ...

    "Profit" can be strictly money ... but "security"
    is a kind of profit unto itself - something beyond
    the next quarterly statement. A big part of our
    China problem is because corps/State forgot that
    second part.
