As of 16:00 on Easter Sunday, Russians have conducted 46
assault operations and over 900 attacks, including more
than 400 uses of FPV drones.

According to Ukrinform, President Volodymyr Zelensky reported
this on Telegram following a briefing by Commander-in-Chief
Oleksandr Syrskyi.

“Unfortunately, the trend of increasing the use of heavy
weaponry by Russian forces continues. From the beginning
of the day until 16:00, there have been a total of 46 Russian
assaults across various directions and 901 instances of
shelling, 448 of which involved heavy weaponry. More than
400 cases of FPV drone use by Russians have already been
documented,” Zelensky stated.

Always remember this IS a Ukrainian mouthpiece.

But, the range and intensity of attacks have also
been noted by outside press as well. The "good-will
ceasefire" was a lie from beginning to end.

Putin knows he still has the advantage here. He
will bullshit and drag his feet with Trump for
as long as he can possibly get away with it.
He will throw away vast numbers of soldiers just
for minor gains on the ground.

Time for more and longer-range weapons for Ukraine.
The UK/EU can provide those. Trump can 'facilitate'
that ... though it has to be hidden for political
reasons. Ukraine needs to be able to really HURT
Russia - at home AND deeper into Russia proper.

"Sanctions" ? Come ON now ... weren't effective
years ago and won't be effective now. Russia
nimbly re-oriented its economy to evade all that.
Sanctions basically put Russia and China back
together again - and Putin is even doing deals
with India. Ties with Iran are much stronger too.
THAT tact was a failure, kinda opposite effect.

So ... PAIN instead.

Oh, "FPV drones" are basically smallish commercial
mass-manufactured drones (mostly Chinese). They
can be outfitted with a kilo or so of explosive
and kamakazeed down on the victims and infrastructure.
Not BIG booms - but precisely TARGETED for max effect.
Putin probably has a cyber-army of 13-year-olds
piloting the things. Just boost the transmitters a
bit and get useful military range.

In theory the USA/France/UK/Germany COULD build a
lot of such drones and send them to Ukraine. The
potential gotcha right now is that they all use
super-magnet motors - neodymium alloy - and China
is by far the largest exporter of neodymium. The
trade wars have prompted China to kinda cut off
exports. Nearest replacement is samarium ... but
that's also mainly a Chinese export.

There ARE mass quantities of such magnets already
in-country however. Govts could PAY people to
donate them for war efforts. I dread to think
how many are in the bottom of landfills ... in
old magnetic disk drives. Electrically generated
fields ... will work, but heavier and use more
power. Oh yea, most lithium batts come from China ...
better think "chain-saw motors" instead folks.
They only have to run for an hour. Neo-"V1"
missiles are good too, cheap and simple. Oh
yea, most of the chips needed to GUIDE them
come from Taiwan - which China is about to
blockade ......
