President Donald Trump is so desperate for a new Air Force One
jet that he asked a Florida-based company to overhaul a plane
once used by the Qatari government.
The moves comes amid years-long delays in the provision of
two replacements for the aging presidential planes that the
president commissioned during his last time in office.
After becoming frustrated at Boeing's apparently inability
to deliver the order Trump wants L3Harris, a defense contractor,
to transform the luxury aircraft previously used by Qatar by
the fall, The Wall Street Journal reported.

There are pix ... the jet was customized
and is positively "palace-like" inside.
Maybe a bit TOO ....
The 3rd-party contractor can likely add the
needed security/comm options a LOT quicker
and cheaper than Boeing.
Boeing went DANGEROUSLY "DEI" ... all fuck-ups
were IGNORED because it MIGHT look "racist" or
un-Letter or something.
Sorry, CANNOT trust their products anymore.
There ARE other US aircraft-makers ... Lockheed
comes to mind ... but it hasn't been building
big jets much for quite awhile alas. AirBus
might be good POLITICS though ... an Airbus
A380 monster would be very impressive as AF-1.
In any case, the hired company - a Harris
offshoot - can surely deliver FAST while
Boeing is obsessed with who gets to use
which restrooms ..........
