    Whatever .....

Hope Elon made a bundle too - so many wives/kids
    to support :-)

    Try adding SOME reasonable/analytic content
rather than just cheaply going after Trump ...

In any case, The World did NOT like the Trump
tariff attack. However that WAS kinda the IDEA.
Had to shake things up a bit if ANYTHING was

a bit better - not floods of gold, but 'better'.

Actually I *do* worry a bit about the 'insider'
angle - and we've SEEN some of it with close
Trump associates. However, SO far, hasn't been
TOO extreme. NANCY has been doing the same shit
for decades. Might GET that way however inside
the Trump admin, so it's best we keep an eye out
and COMPLAIN LIKE HELL when we see it.

Oh, don't bitch about "when a Democrat does it"
because all sorts of evil were justified in the
last admin UNLESS a Republican Did It.

Such corruptions, small and large, are not unusual
in US history. The 1820s, the 1880s, to a point
the 1920s. Jefferson reported his despair upon
assuming office, seeing how his 'perfect' USA
had gone totally over to graft and profiteering
even at the top levels. Seems the LEVEL of such
shit VARIES by generation but never goes away.

Face it - money and the power it buys DOES have
deep deep appeal to the human soul. Been so since
    history was first writ down.

      GET it ???

But you only look in ONE direction while
      hurling your vitriol.

      Constant pressure/investigation/exposure
is needed along these lines. Doesn't matter
WHICH party is dominant. 'Democracy' is WORK,
it's anti-entropic. It's NEVER "All is OK so
      we don't need to bother".

BUT, be sure, for every GOP you seek to damage
an equally guilty DNC will be exposed. NO net
      partisan gain.
And yet, it is only DNC people you rail against.

Someone did ... last Friday afternoon, right before close, someone

    How cute!

Those $580 calls went +1400%, turning that $1.2M into ~$16M in one

No. It won't, because it isn't JUST about tariffs. Trump's narcisism
has cost us a great deal of global good will. The loss of USAID alone
will shrink our international footprint enormously.

China could not have asked for a better introduction to their Century.

In the series Ascent of Man, you see the centre of innovation and
'culture' shift. Where innovation is allowed and rewards the
innovator you see that society prosper and subsidise arts and
other activities. But if suppressed, it shifts to another place.
The Ascent never stops, but it does shift.

The Fertile Crescent was an early innovator. But constant war
shifted to Hittites, Egyptians, Phoenicians. Then it shifted to
    Greeks. Then Romans.

It stayed in Italy a long time. Then church get upset at Galileo.
Italy was abandonned in favour of German states. Holland was
tolerant of anyone who made money everyone could share. Than England.

The USA has done well. But now perhaps our time is done as we
repress the wellspring of innovation. Next? China? India? Given
rampant corruption of China, I expect India. Chaos and freedom
    are beautiful things
    .

FYI, something else to remain aware to is that even if the Markets
recover to their prior highs YTD, the devaluation of the US Dollar has
been roughly -10%, so the perceived "break even" valuation is actually
-10% lower than what it previously had been.

What this means is that for Market value that's been properly normalized against currency fluctuation, one needs the valuations in USD to
actually go to +10% higher than their YTD high just to reach the real
    financial break-even.

Using the SP500 as an example, its Feb 2025 high was roughly 6,144 ...
adding a quick +10% to account for USD fluctuation losses YTD, it means
    that one is still behind until the SP500 reaches (6144 + 614 = 6758).

For point of reference, its currently at ~5900, which means that one's normalized Market valuation on this index is currently -14.5% lower.
