    Sometimes, when you think X is a cesspool, the Reddit Lies account pops up
    in our timelines and reminds us that other social media sites are FAR
    worse.

    Someone put a poll on Reddit asking which historical event Reddit users
    would travel back in time to stop, and the results are, well, interesting:

    I got on reddit because it seems the usent is dying
    I got off over the API. RIF worked well and conserved
    mobile data, but everything else is a hog. Quora is worse.
    FB Messenger drains my battery.

    I want to use lynx plain text browser, both on my UNIX ISP and on my phone (little browser). Goon Ghule requires javascript for more and more but they don't let you use java on android. During th epandemic I was locked out of gmail because of the sudden onset of javascript. SO then I deleted everything and never use them again.

    Revive usenet and plain text browsing.
