    France is set to build a £337million American-style 'super-max'
prison in the heart of the Amazon rainforest that will house
    drug lords and Islamist terrorists.

The massive 40,700 square meter complex will be build in Saint
Laurent du Maroni, in the jungles of French Guiana, said
hardline justice minister Gérald Darmanin on Sunday, who
visited the region to make the announcement, amid growing
fervour against the so-called 'Mexicanization' of France at
the hands of violent drugs gangs.

Darmanin told a local outlet that no quarter would be given
to those imprisoned at the jail.

'The prison regime will be extremely strict, with one aim:
to put the most dangerous narcotraffickers in a place where
they can do no harm', he said.

    . . .

Drug-gang ultra-violence - some locals but more often
from Mexico and vicinity - has increased very sharply
in France over the past few years. It is now deemed
    to be a public hazard.

But what to DO with the hard-core perps ?

    Now we have an answer.

Looks like 'Wokie' is now disappearing in France just
like in many other, sensible, countries.

Meanwhile it seems the UK is going even MORE Wokie
and 'socialist' ... so I guess the cartels ought to
send all their people there. Gangsta, esp 'foreign',
chops you to bits ... well, it's YOUR fault for not
being 'brown' enough or something .......

The USA alas has few tropical possessions that do
not have beach condos all over them. So, suggest
the Aleutian islands instead - that oughtta cool
    off the gangstas :-)

    Even France accords prisoners
    due process before transporting
    them abroad.

Why does Trump hate due process?

"Take the guns first, go through due process second"
    02/28/18

President Trump on Wednesday voiced support for
confiscating guns from certain individuals deemed
to be dangerous, even if it violates due process
rights. "Take the guns first, go through due
    process second," Trump said.

I do not know if France has the equivalent to the Eighth
Amendment, but the USA does. Cruel and unusual punishment is
illegal. We can put a federal prison at Pt Barrow, but the
prisonners have to provide with heating, appropriate clothing,
    medical care, aught else.

Some time back I read Frank Abagnale's "Catch Me
If You Can". He was caught in France and jailed. I
recall that he described his cell (I think he said
he was thrown in naked) as being bare and slime
covered. The book came out in 1980 so that was
conditions then. No idea what they're like now, but
it sorta seems like that hade Devil's Island right
    there!

Note that 'cruel' and 'unusual' are RELATIVE terms,
    subject to revisions.

    Just sayin' ...
